Scott Porter is the senior and managing partner of the firm. He represents many businesses in New Jersey and the New York metropolitan area, where he focuses his practice on civil litigation and transactional/corporate matters. In these capacities, Mr. Porter is recognized as a fierce advocate for his clients, and he maintains an active trial practice. Mr. Porter is admitted to practice in the state and federal courts in New York and New Jersey and has an active trial and appellate docket. Mr. Porter has also litigated matters in Indiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Nebraska, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Puerto Rico and Utah.
Mr. Porter has represented various commercial enterprises, manufacturing companies, real estate developers, general contractors, condo associations and high net worth parties in complex litigations, shareholder disputes, arbitrations, and mediations and he has handled labor negotiations. Mr. Porter is a member of the Bergen County Bar Association, the New Jersey State Bar Association, Association of Trial Lawyers of America and he serves on the Board of Directors of several privately-held corporations. Mr. Porter is a graduate of the Syracuse University Law School, and received his M.P.A. at Syracuse’s Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs and his B.A. from Bard College, where he is a member of the Board of Governors. Mr. Porter has a Martindale AV overall peer rating of “Preeminent”, was named a NJMIZ 2022 Leader in Law; and serves as Vice Chair of the Meadowlands Chamber of Commerce.
On the international front, Mr. Porter has led the firm to become a correspondent law firm to the LawExchange International. The firm now actively represents diverse clients around the world and has assisted many clients in obtaining trusted and qualified legal representation internationally.
